Don’t Launch Your Website Without These 5 Pages

Okay so real talk: if you’re a service-based business owner (coach, creative, yoga girlie, literally any kind of expert offering a service)…

You don’t need a million fancy pages to start showing up online like the main character.
But you do need a few strategic, money-making ones.

Because let’s be honest—nobody has time to click through a 47-tab website trying to figure out if you’re legit.
(They will literally click off and go back to Instagram. Tragic.)

Let’s fix that.

1. Home Page – Aka your digital welcome mat (but like, cute)

If someone finds your site through a link, ad, Pinterest pin, or divine intervention…
This is where they land.

Your home page needs to instantly give main character energy:

  • Who you are
  • What you do
  • Who it’s for
  • What they should do next

🧠 Think:
“Hey, you’re in the right place, let me show you around.”

Must-haves for your Home Page:

  • Quick headline that’s ✨clear✨ not clever (unless you’re a copywriter, and even then…)
  • A sexy lil intro that makes them feel seen
  • Obvious buttons that guide them (like “Work With Me” or “Check Out Services”)
  • Social proof (you’re not new here—show it off)
  • A vibe. Just…a vibe. You know what I mean.

2. Services Page – Aka the place where the money happens

This is your online sales assistant.
It should be giving: “Here’s exactly how I can help, here’s why I’m amazing at it, and here’s what you need to do to get in.”

🚫 Not the place to be shy.
✅ It is the place to be:

  • Super specific about what you offer (don’t make them guess)
  • Crystal clear on pricing or process or both
  • FAQ-ready to crush any hesitations

Pro tip:

Break it down with short sections + bullet points. Think:

  • “What you get”
  • “Who this is for”
  • “The process”
  • “Let’s go”

3. About Page – Aka why YOU and not that other girl they just followed on IG

This isn’t your life story.
It’s your why I’m the right choice story.

👯‍♀️ Let’s make it feel like a super honest heart-to-heart with a potential client. Keep it:

  • Personal but not random
  • Confident but not “trying too hard”
  • Focused on them as much as it is about you

Include:

  • Your big mission or philosophy (even if it’s spicy)
  • A lil backstory (we love a glow-up moment)
  • Some “fun facts” that build connection (like your obsession with overpriced oat milk lattes, or how you always forget to charge your AirPods during meetings)

📎 Bonus: Add a cute photo of you actually working or living your best life. No stock photo energy allowed.

4. Contact Page – Aka make it easy for the people to talk to you

This page should not be an afterthought.
It’s where future clients are like, “Okay I’m obsessed. How do I reach her?”

📝 Bare minimum:

  • A contact form (short and sweet, pls don’t ask for their dog’s birthday)
  • Your email address (some people hate forms, it’s fine)
  • Maybe even a Calendly link or direct booking button if you’re That Girl™

Bonus points if you:

  • Mention your typical response time
  • Add a friendly lil note like “Can’t wait to hear from you!” (because people just love to feel wanted, let’s be real)

Legal Pages – Aka the boring but necessary stuff

I know. Snoozefest. But your biz needs them.

📜 The must-haves:

  • Privacy Policy (especially if you’re collecting emails)
  • Terms & Conditions (especially if you’re selling stuff)
  • Cookie disclaimer if you’re EU-based or just want to look extra profesh

Honestly, just grab a legit template and call it a day. Don’t DIY your legal stuff unless you’re also a lawyer in your spare time.

So… Do You Need a Blog or a Portfolio Page?

Maybe, maybe not.
If you’re a designer or visual creative—yes, 1000%.
If you love writing & SEO—go off with the blog.

BUT.
Start with the core five above and make them solid.
Then add extras if it makes sense for you (not because you saw someone else do it and panicked).

TL;DR for My ADHD Girlies:

You only really need:

  1. Home Page – first impression, baby
  2. Services Page – show them how you slay
  3. About Page – give ’em a reason to choose you
  4. Contact Page – don’t play hard to get
  5. Legal Pages – boring but keeps you safe

That’s it. You’re in business.
